DESCRIPTION.md
Plesk firewall protects the server from attacks by controlling access to Plesk services (such as web hosting, mail hosting, and FTP). You can control the firewall configuration using rules and policies. The firewall allows you to: - Secure the server using default rules and policies. - For even better protection, modify the default rules and policies, or create your own from scratch. - Additionally, the firewall enables country-based blocking, restricting access from specific countries using ISO 3166 country codes. - Furthermore, the firewall configuration can be exported/imported via GUI and CLI methods, facilitating easy duplication of firewall setups across Plesk for Linux servers. These features empower users to implement robust network security measures and streamline firewall management processes within the Plesk environment. Read more about the Plesk firewall [on Linux](https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/current/administrator-guide/plesk-administration/the-plesk-firewall-linux.72046/) and [on Windows](https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/current/administrator-guide/plesk-administration/the-plesk-firewall-windows.64951/).
